U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL RELEASE
After winning the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Festival, “Be Here Now” (The Andy Whitfield Story) kicked off its theatrical release with premieres in New York and Los Angeles and 10 major U.S. cities, in support of World Health Day.
The film screened for audiences in over 200 theaters in over 84 cities, in collaboration with cancer research, treatment and care organizations including, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Cancer Support Community, Stand Up To Cancer, and Lymphoma Australia. Following its theatrical release, these audiences were joined by many more thousands of viewers on Netflix, and students and educators on Kanopy.
It debuted internationally as opening night film of the DocEdge Film Festival, which launched the film’s theatrical release in New Zealand and Australia, and cause-related screenings around the world.
“Be Here Now” (The Andy Whitfield Story) topped Kickstarter as the 3rd Most Successful Documentary Campaign, and the film now has over 4 million viewers and followers across social media, YouTube, Kickstarter and the film’s website.
